actually i lied... i dont really know the etimology of "zum zum' but it is used sometimes by somebody who sings ant then terminates the song with "zum zum".
Another use of zum zum... (a little more crass) defines the act of making love...

zum zum is onomatopeic ( hopefully spelled right but you may want to add an H somewhere: H has been my problem in English as it is a problem for Goldano in Italian).
A word that imitates the sound of the thing you want to refer to, is onomatopeic
