well,dear grandine..aren't.FIGS ,Just FIGS in ITALIA....seriously now....AHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAAAA... FIGS...TO EAT...FRUIT,I MEAN.;...in Italy do FIGS MEAN SOMETHING ELSE...oh well...i think it is time to call on my TRUSTY translator...Maggie..otherwise known as'the dancer' otherwise known as 'THE TRANSLATOR'....& LOVER OF THE TURTLE....
I DO ,REALLY REALLY LOVE TO EAT ..HONEYED FIGS..PROPER FRESH ONES...IF POSSIBLE;BUT DRIED ,IF NOTHING ELSE IS AVAILABLE....I mean i DO live in England....FRESH FIGS are a Miracle here....IMPORTED..usually from Turkey...etc.
I try to get the dried ones from the 'health food shop'..(those not DRENCHED in sugar..and then you steep them in boiling water and ...they PLUMP UP...and are very good to use in cakes and things....OF COURSE I KNOW THAT FIGS ARE A SYMBOL OF THE FEMALE GENITALIA.....in ANY language...but AS I AM NOT A LESBIAN.....FOR ME....FIGS ARE JUST FIGS............!!!!! I MADE FIG WINE ONCE...WELL ,A SORT OF LIQUEUR....it was quite nice...not amazing...not as good as my DANDELION WINE....oh i have to go now....! IT'S nearly time for .....HOW TO LOOK GOOD NAKED....it's on the bbc....1 ...i love it....
