Three Runners Die in Detroit Marathon
DETROIT (Oct. 19) — Autopsies are expected after three half-marathoners died during the Detroit marathon.
Officials say 36-year-old Daniel Langdon collapsed at about 9:02 a.m. Sunday between the 11- and 12-mile markers and 65-year-old Rick Brown collapsed at 9:17 a.m., near where Langdon went down.

Autopsies are planned for Monday.
Rich Harshbarger, vice president of consumer marketing for the Detroit Media Partnership, told the Detroit Free Press emergency personnel were on the scene within seconds.
More than 19,000 people were registered to participate in the 32nd Detroit Free Press/Flagstar Marathon.

Grazie 'The Best' for 'the news' from America. It's sad about the runners.That happens here as well,all around uk when marathons are run.
Very sad about stephen gately as well...I was so shocked about his death...a great singer and a lovely lad.
I enjoyed looking at the pictures of all the 'rare'diamonds as well,as i am fascinated by natural coloured diamonds and gems of all kinds...I wanted to be a gemologist(honestly) i don't know how the hell i became a nurse.
