I have experienced two earthquakes, the first around the sixties: I was with a friend of mine in the car and all of a sudden we saw hundreds of people running from the streets towards la Villa comunale, where they would find safety far from possible further collapsing buildings but we felt nothing in the car, we were just informed by people of what had happened.
The second was more dramatic: 20 years later I was living with three children and wife in Caserta and watching Juve- Turin on TV when the Tv set flew on me and all the lights went off. Continue if I feel like talking more about it.

Oh god author,I remember when you wrote of this on the first aol journal..'inferno chattesco'.Your wife was asleep on the settee..and you were watching football as you state on t/v...in the eighties.).you had doggies as well.You wrote of this because of my earthquake experience that i reported last year.. when i was a fledgling foreign correspondant,& jess had been behaving SO VERY STRANGELY ETC...DEEP SIGH...you made me cry ..when you WROTE YOU had one child under your arm and holding anothers hands.AND YOU DESCRIBED THAT WAILING NOISE,BEFORE IT REALLY STRIKES.. LIKE, OH...A LORRY RUMBLING PAST..WAILING...STRANGE ..NOISE !You slept in the Car..and around you were nearly 3000 dead.You and your family survived ONE OF THE WORST EARTHQUAKES EVER RECORDED.YOU ARE A SURVIVOR! GRAZIE, FOR YOUR POIGNANT POSTING AUTHOR ,THAT I KNOW MOST OF US WILL TAKE TO OUR HEARTS.
