I MISS MY OLD OLIVETTI TYPEWRITER SO MUCH...I bought it at a car boot for £ 6 ....I had IT for years...IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL...A WORK OF ART.....then it just died and i became part of the 'Modern world'....
....MY DAD bought me my 1st little typewriter when i was ohhhhh around 8 yrs old...I LOVED IT....!!!! I LOVED THE NOISE IT MADE..!AND WROTE NON-STOP !!! sometimes all night.(AS a teeny little girl in the dark using a torch under the bedclothes...ahahahhahahahahaa.......honestly...I WROTE ABOUT EVERYTHING.....FROM MY TOYS TO MY NEW SHOES TO MY CRUMPLED PILLOW TO MY BROTHER PULLING MY PLAITS ! I WROTE TO GOD TO ANGELS ,I WROTE ABOUT MY DREAMS WHEN I WOKE UP..But MOST OF ALL I WROTE TO THE MOON.....AND ALL THE PEOPLE LIVING ON IT...AHAHAHAHHAHAAAA!!!!!!!! 'WHEN IT WAS A NEW MOON...OR A HALF MOON RIGHT UP TO FULL MOON....!!!! THROUGHOUT ALL THE PHASES.....I was there....THERE WAS A WHOLE WORLD UP THERE...THAT I WAS A PART OF......AND ..I HAD INDENTATIONS ALL OVER MY LITTLE ARMS ..from hugging it all night...the keys marking my skin....and ink all over my face and arms ,pyjamas and bed linen.....IT WAS THE BEST AND MOST BEAUTIFUL PRESENT I EVER HAD..........ahahaaha oh dear....they couldn't GET me off that typewriter....AND I DREAMED OF MY DREAM JOB.. TO BE A SECRETARY !!!! .IN AN OFFICE !!!...AHAHAHAHHAHAHAA ..HONESTLY.....! I'm thinking back now..,..i even used to put GLASSES ON......my dads...& put my hair up in a bun.....ahahahhahahaah to look the part.....ahahahhahahahahaa !....EVEN IN MY OLD CONVENT SCHOOL REPORTS.......the mother superior wrote.....'A GIFTED CHILD....BUT,, (AND A BIG BUT) HAS HER HEAD IN THE CLOUDS....lives in an imaginary world of letters & fantasy....unicorns and fairies....goblins and elves...MOON PEOPLE AHAHAHAHHAHAA!!!!!!! CHARMING..,.BUT, NEEDS TO 'WAKE UP ' STOP DAYDREAMING......AND CONCENTRATE ON HER MATHEMATICS....WHICH IS VERY POOR.....!!aahhahahahahahaahahAHAHHAAHHAHAAA... OH SHIT.!!!..I NEVER GREW UP......!"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....on one report it says....SPENDS MOST OF HER TIME IN CLASS STARING OUT OF THE WINDOW ! when asked what she is so interested in LOOKING AT...the child ..answers..."THE CLOUDS..ARE TALKING TO ME.;I MUST LISTEN TO THEM SISTER."..(convent nun)..."or the birds are calling me out to play..OUR LORD AND OUR LADY..SAY I MUST GO TO THEM......!!! can't YOU hear them sister..?......aahahahhahaa ..i still have all my old school reports....THEY ARE HILARIOUS....! On one it actually says..(Sister Jude).during lunchtime..Ej..would NOT let go of her pencil and drew and wrote on all the napkins on the dinner table....I had to prize the pencil out of her hand...AND SHE HAD A TEMPER TANTRUM..SHE REFUSED TO HOLD HER KNIFE AND ..proceeded to draw a picture of her lunch. ....needs to learn obedience...& discipline...ahahahahahahahaahhaaa.....!!! oh god...I WAS ONLY 7 ..or was i 17 ......??
Computers , for all their Modern Airs and Graces .....just ......'DO NOT HAVE THE 'SOUL' OF A TYPEWRITER ' the satisfaction of banging away at the keys and pushing the carraige sideways Left with a RELISH. & HEARING that DING !..filled me with DELIGHT.....! IT WAS LIKE HEARING A BRASS BAND...! & feeding the paper in >>>>>>>>>>> YOU CAN'T BEAT IT .!......If i don't get one soon...I WILL ..FADE AWAY IN ........LONGHAND....... I can't get into bed now....for discarded papers and PENS....ALL COLOURS......honestly....

are u unconfortable writing on computers? In a sense i too have problems. I need to print what I write to make corrections I don't see mistakes and problems if I don't pull it out in real space
you are a compulsive wirter just as i am a compulsive eraser: after writing something I usually erase it, I get disgusted with it the day after

Yes, I have compulsive writing syndrome ...A DISEASE..I'm finding it hard to type today..since those storms yesterday...my fingers don't seem to know what to do..my head is banging!! (honestly)
So you erase a lot of your work,well,can i say perhaps you might be too hard on yourself.ANYHOW ..i have a good idea...BUY AN OLD TYPEWRITER WITH A SOUL...AN ITALIAN OLIVETTI.(i'm sure you can pick one up really cheaply)..AND DO all your writing on that..no more messing about with printers etc..expensive ink catridges will be a thing of the past.And you will have a brass band to entertain you whilst you write about the 'meaning of life'.And it will be aLL in REAL LIFE...so you can correct and see mistakes in real time..etc..also with a typewriter it is easier to concentrate ..no virtual sneaking off around the cyberworld..it is just you and your typewriter..No interruptions,if you are writing on line i mean..even off line writing can be hard, i mean staring at the monitor..I'm sure it's a block to the 'MIND' & stops thought flow..and interferes with the eyes.
It's never too late to win the Nobel Prize..ahahahhaaha....I'm SURE ONE DAY...I WILL GET IT FOR...something..THE SWEDES OWE ME...!!!!
