This is an extremely important discovery

We read in Contumelia's report on the Nobel prize that "Blackburn and Greider discovered the enzyme that builds telomeres — telomerase — and the mechanism by which it adds DNA to the tips of chromosomes to replace genetic material that has eroded away". I may be wrong but such a mechanism must be somehow responsible for aging, or when it is defective for causing diseases to young people. When geneticists will learn how to manipulate ( correct it, build it synthetically) than aging will fall under control and so many diseases occurring because of telomers' decay within a system. Are we headed towards the eternal life of which writers have dreamt of since mythology? Hurry up Sugars, we are not getting any younger!
