Question for William the actor: what is your opinion on this issue?

What are your thoughts on stage acting vs. film acting? Which do you think of first when acting is mentioned? A lot of times I'll see questions with headings like "how can I be an actor?", then I open it and they're asking about movies, and it takes me a minute - whenever I think of acting, I think of the stage. What do you think of? Do you think one format is more or less valid or difficult than the other? Do you prefer one over the other? Have you been involved with film and/or stage acting? Best Answer - Chosen by Voters Like you I tend to think of stage work when acting is mentioned. Few movie stars are true actors. They tend to play the same character over and over.Stage work is only one chance to get it right while film allows for multiple takes. Film acting is very different than stage acting. I've done both but prefer stage work because I am a pretty gregarious person which tends to look overdone on film.
