A 400 -yard 'NAKED GREEN GODDESS' (pictured) is to be carved into the Northumberland landscape ,under a new plan revealed by a North East Mining company. Dubbed the "GODDESS OF THE NORTH" . 'NORTHUMBERLANDIA '(i love that name !) will be made from 2 million tonnes of earth dug out from an open cast mine in 'Cramlington' & tower 112 feet into the NORTHERN SKY ! WOW !! !!!!!!!! (shouts Mrs Krap) .... The Goddess designed by artist Charles Jencks will ' recline ' over Shotton open cast mine and form the centrepiece of a new Public Park at the site. The Sculpture will be started next year. Already many people around the world have garnered a great interest in the 'green lady' & the design has been enhanced with more paths to allow visitors to easily ascend the figure. It will take around 20 mins to walk all the way around her. The whole cost of the project will be around £2.5 million.THERE will be picnic areas and places to relax and also to exercise & have fun !!
