Strange things about America

Suspect in Holocaust Museum shooting linked to neo-Nazis

For us coming from Italy there are things, we find in this country, that are strange to say the least. I invite all of you to write about what has struck you as the most weird and hard to swallow feature of this great country that hosts us. One of the things that I find difficult to understand is the fact that, entailed by the Law which says that an individual is innocent until proven guilty in a court of Law, if a person shoots and kill a number of people in a public place and he is finally caught by the police, the media refer to him as 'The suspect" even if there are video clips showing him shooting lol. Do you have any interesting bizarre feature of this country worth mentioning?
